“Intracoastal Waterway From The Bridge On 44” is a panoramic view of the Intracoastal Waterway in New Smyrna Beach Florida. It was captured on the overpass on route 44. This portion of the waterway is the Indian River.
The eastern Intracoastal Waterway begins in Boston and travels on rivers to the southern tip of Florida. As you can imagine, there are many bridges crossing over the waterway with some of them being draw bridges to allow large masted sailboats to pass through. Looking at the top right hand side of the the panorama, you’ll see one of them in its open position.
